The urban dictionary says that “Bradentucky” is a local reference to Bradenton (Florida) because it is so ghetto and redneck, but here at btucky.com we would (partially) disagree.

We're entertained by the moniker that the city just can’t shake off.  And rather than run from it, we’re embracing it and celebrating it. 

 After all, the name unifies the sunny town of Bradenton, Florida with the bourbon state of Kentucky — Really, what could be better?

The products we offer for sale are made right here in Bradenton, Florida by a native born & a lifetime resident.  We're proud to live here and to support the local community.  The items we sell we made (unless stated otherwise).  So when you embrace btucky, you support local business.

OFFENDED BY THE NAME?

Certainly there are folks who will take insult to the moniker so-assigned to those who live in this beautiful place, but let them define the meaning of it.  

Yeah, the city has suffered a severe drug/opioid crisis, and the school board has made our school system the target of criticism, but to only see Bradenton for those flaws would be wrong.  And to single Bradenton out would be unfair, as we know well and true that the issues are wide spread (just look at Sarasota's homeless population or Lakewood Ranch's high school drug problems).

So be Bradenton proud -- btucky style, of course!
